This book is designed to be a guide to mass spectrometry, starting from the first steps until it becomes a daily research and work.
Starting from the principles of ionization in the gas phase and by the elemental isotopic properties, we will explain the design of mass analyzers, the interpretation of mass spectra and the applied ionization methods. The book concludes with chapters on coupling chromatography-mass spectrometry and with a chapter on inorganic mass spectrometry. In total it comprises fifteen chapters that can be read independently one from the other.
