It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the Second Meeting of the Italian Metabolomics Network, co-organized by IMaSS and GIDRM. A unique opportunity to strengthen connections between researchers, clinicians, and professionals involved in the study of the metabolome in all its forms.

After the success of the first meeting, this second event represents an important step towards building a solid, interdisciplinary and collaborative national community. The aim of our network is to promote the exchange of knowledge, the adoption of good practices and the development of shared projects, with a view to scientific innovation and impact on health, the environment and agri-food. This year's programme includes high-level scientific presentations, sessions dedicated to new technologies and integrated approaches, and opportunities for open discussion between research groups. Particular attention will be dedicated to the participation of the new generation of metabolomists, through scholarships designed for young researchers and doctoral students and reduced registration fees.

We would like to thank all participants, speakers, institutional and industrial partners who make this event possible. Your presence testifies to the growing interest and strategic value of metabolomics in the national and international scientific landscape.
