QuanMass – Quantitative analysis in mass spectrometry

10 September 2026

National Research Counsil (CNR), Classroom 215, Via P. Gobetti 101, Bologna

Quantitative analysis is a key aspect of mass spectrometry, supporting reliable, comparable, and meaningful results across different fields of application.

QuanMass – Quantitative analysis in mass spectrometry will bring together experts from different areas to discuss current approaches, challenges, and practical aspects of quantitative MS workflows.

The morning session will include invited lectures covering different application fields and methodological perspectives. The afternoon will be dedicated to participant contributions and open discussion. Participants are invited to give short oral presentations and to bring forth their own analytical challenges for discussion. Two dedicated interactive sessions will focus on practical issues such as uncertainty budgets, method validation, chromatographic methods, sample preparation, and preparative aspects.

The aim of the meeting is to promote exchange between participants and experts and among participants, and to discuss possible solutions to real analytical problems in quantitative mass spectrometry.
