IMaSS Network 2026 + MS in water analysis

18 June 2026 - 19 June 2026

University of Turin - Department of Molecular Biotechnologies and Health Sciences Via Nizza 44, Turin

IMaSS Network 2026: Our National Conference, this year it will be held in conjunction with the event’s activities Mass Spectrometry in Water Analysis. The event will focus on applications and innovations in the MS field, but will also include a section dedicated to analyses of the water matrix in its broadest sense. The topics to be addressed at this conference on water-related issues will be as follows:
– mineral water analysis
– Analysis of drinking water intended for human consumption
– seawater analysis
– emerging contaminants in water

On the first day, the conference will be opened by theIMaSS Members' Meeting (5 p.m.), where the report on the 2026 social activities will be presented, offering members an opportunity to share ideas and plan future activities. The first scientific session on Mass Spectrometry in Water Analysis will begin afterwards.

The second day will feature an opening session focused on the scientific and practical aspects of water chemistry, with an in-depth look at advanced analytical methods, monitoring strategies, quality control, and traceability, with a particular emphasis on the role of mass spectrometry in ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The second session will be dedicated to all applications and innovations in the field of mass spectrometry, without any thematic restrictions.

The IMaSS Network will provide an opportunity for scientific updates, technical exchange, and network strengthening for all those working in analytical chemistry using mass spectrometry (MS), with a particular focus on those involved in water analysis and the technologies that ensure water quality, monitoring, and sustainability throughout its entire lifecycle.
