The Second Italian MS-Imaging Symposium was created with the aim of bringing together the national scientific community involved in the development and application of Mass Spectrometry Imaging (MSI) techniques. For this reason, this year's edition will be co-organized with the Mass Spectrometry Division of the Italian Chemical Society. Following the success of the first edition, the event has established itself as a key forum for promoting dialogue between researchers, clinicians, technologists, and industry representatives interested in this rapidly evolving technology.

MS-Imaging technology allows the spatial distribution of molecules in biological, pharmaceutical and environmental samples to be mapped, opening up new perspectives for basic and applied research. The symposium will offer a unique opportunity to share the latest methodological advances, instrumental innovations and new data analysis strategies, with a particular focus on applications in the biomedical, diagnostic and metabolomic fields. Space will be given to all the various ancillary techniques related to imaging spectrometry, including: MALDI, DESI, LA-IPC and IHC multiplexing.

The programme will include scientific presentations, poster sessions and showcases by the event's sponsors, with extensive opportunities for networking among participants. The symposium aims to strengthen collaboration between different Italian research groups and promote Italy's contribution to the international MS-Imaging scene, thanks to the patronage of the IMSIS (International Mass Spectrometry Imaging Society).
